Our accessibility target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible for people with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor disabilities.
How we test
We combine automated scanning with hands-on manual testing by real people, because automated tools alone catch only part of the barriers people with disabilities face.
Technical testing
- Automated scans of every page template for missing labels, contrast failures, empty links and other detectable WCAG 2.1 AA issues.
- Code review of headings, landmarks, form labels, alternative text and ARIA attributes.
- Inspection of the accessibility tree to confirm assistive technology receives correct names, roles and states.
- Checks of color contrast, text resizing to 200 percent, reflow at 320px width and reduced motion settings.
Manual testing
- Keyboard-only navigation of every page, menu, form and dialog, with visible focus and logical order.
- Screen reader review on desktop and mobile to confirm content is announced clearly and in order.
- Real user tasks, such as reading a menu, completing a form and finding contact details, from start to finish.
- Review of images, links, error messages and instructions to confirm they make sense without seeing the screen.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We review content and code as this website changes, and we address barriers when we find them.
